Fire blanket for EV battery fires and other Lithium-ion battery fires

Lithium-ion battery fires are a hot topict as they emit toxic gases and are very challenging to extinguish.

Large vehicle batteries are a big challenge when they catch fire as the gases emitted are more poisonous than with other fires and these fires take a long time to extinguish. A particularly risky situation is a fire of such battery in a closed space, such as a parking hall underground. In such circumstances the smoke and toxic gases are not vented very effectively posing bystanders at risk of toxic exposure.

To combat this problem, we have developed a fire blanket that combines smoke gas control, gas purification (filtering) and cooling of the vehicle. This is the only solution on the market that can actively reduce the amount of toxic gases emitted from the fire.
